Sun 4th October, 11am-2pm: Dave Tomlinson, we have to change to stay the same (continuity and discontinuity in faith and life in general)

What aspects of Christian belief and doctrine need to be abandoned in the modern world, and which should be kept or radically reconfigured? This is a question every progressively-minded person of faith grapples with. But how do we decide? What should be the criteria? And how do we avoid the trap of negativism?
Dave Tomlinson has wrestled with these kinds of questions for decades and helped thousands to navigate their own way through them. Drawing on his experience together with insights from the burgeoning field of Open & Relational Theology, Dave invites us to explore the reconstruction of Christian faith for the 21st century – a faith that joins up with necessary progressive agendas in the wider world.
If we are to pursue the kingdom of God in the world, Jesus indicated that we would need to appropriate treasures new and old. What does this mean for us today?
