- Space for Soul

Join us in February as we explore Qi Gong & Prayer, an invitation to engage with this ancient practice and to reflect on how our own journeys have shaped our understanding of prayer, including whether it can be embodied.
We’ll begin the session with Catherine leading us in an introduction to Qi Gong, a practice of gentle, mindful movements that invite awareness of chi, or life-giving energy. This practice encourages grounding, ease, and a sense of connection between body, breath, and awareness. The movements are very gentle and accessible to all; no prior experience is needed.
Following this, we’ll move into small group discussions exploring prayer. Rather than approaching prayer as a fixed or prescribed idea, we’ll hold it openly and curiously, reflecting together on questions such as:
What does prayer mean to you now?
How has your understanding or experience of prayer changed over time?
Can prayer be embodied, through movement, silence, intention, or presence, as well as through words?
As with our previous sessions, you’re welcome to bring along any materials, poems, or pieces of writing that resonate with you around this theme. There will be space to listen, share and reflect together in a supportive and open environment. We’ll come back together towards the end to share insights and gently close the session together.
