“A willingness to change your mind – and admit that it has been changed – is one of
the traits I most respect in other people. Our beliefs aren’t fixed. They’re shaped,
stretched and sometimes overturned by the ideas we encounter as we move through
life.”
(I am unable to attribute this quote – though the second part is from the article linked below.)
Those of us who have found our way to Space for Soul have probably experienced
some kind of shift in our ideas or beliefs – whether in lightbulb moments or through a
more gradual process. In this session we invite you to share any particular moments,
any experiences, conversations, books, films, poems or other kind of encounter with
people or ideas that has made you re-evaluate what you once held to be true. How did
it feel to let go of beliefs you had held perhaps since childhood?
You may like to read this article if you have time before the April meeting:
“The book that changed my mind – 12 experts share a perspective-shifting read.”
Published January 13, 20236 in The Conversation. (I have not read any of these books myself but, having read the article, would love to.)
