The CSEA Director

The CSEA is directed by Kaitlyn Steele, the founder and current Chair of Spaceforsoul. Kaitlyn has been involved in the therapeutic world for most of her adult life. She qualified originally as a clinical psychologist in the mid 1970s and worked as such for a number of years in the NHS before eventually developing a private practice as a person–centred therapist and supervisor.

She taught for over twenty five years on both Further and Higher Education counselling courses in the UK, during which time she was responsible for developing a four year university validated counselling training programme with a focus on working with the spiritual dimension and a two year spiritual accompaniment training programme. She is also the author of a book entitled 'Sacred Space: Embracing the spiritual in person-centred therapy' and has written a wide range of articles on spirituality and the spiritual journey.  She has recently launched an e-course programme entitled 'In search of soul: Exploring the spiritual journey.'

Kaitlyn now works in private practice as a person-centred spiritual accompanier, pastoral supervisor and freelance trainer. She is an experienced workshop leader and has led workshops and short courses in a variety of settings and for people working in a variety of different roles. She also has substantial experience of facilitating groups of varying kinds – for example, support groups, therapeutic groups, personal growth and encounter groups, spiritual exploration and accompaniment groups.
